Highlighting is useful when you want to make words visible in a text to catch your eye. This form of extracting information from a text is very useful because it clearly points out the key points in the text. I used this when annotating my extracts to make sure the information is clearly shown.
Underlining is useful when you want to pick out specific words and to take notes of those key words so you can understand what they are within the text. I used this in my annotations to show the reader what key words and phrases were important to me when reading the text.
Labelling is useful when you want to clearly show what you are annotating and give an explanation about what you have underlined or highlighted. I did this when annotating and I think I did this effectively because I have labelled all the information I think is important in the piece of texts I annotated.
