Unique Selling Point

For my short film I have done some research and watched and evaluated 3 different short films to do with domestic violence.

This short film is about a relationship and how the male character is out working which the female character is at home cooking dinner for when he comes home. The male character comes home and starts abusing his girlfriend/wife and in the end he starts physically beating her till she is knocked out and covered in bruises. Right at the end of this short film the female stays with the male character because she loves him.

This short film is about how a male partner is very abusive to his girlfriend and the short film is shot as some sort of letter to what happened and while the girl is talking it is showing clips of them two and what the male character did. In the end of this short film it shows the female character shooting her partner and her running away. This is an extreme case but in the real world this could possibly happen.

This is about a woman who is in a very abusive relationship as the male character rapes her and beats her and her little sister. This video is very strong and sends a strong message about domestic abuse. In the end of this short film the woman and the little sister runs away as they can't keep getting abused from the male character.

Overall these 3 short films shows 3 different endings to why women either stay in an abusive relationship, or to kill or to run away, there are very limited options on what to do in situations like this. This is very good for a unique selling point but could be difficult to make a product to fit into the market but I have had personal experience on domestic abuse which could give me the advantage on making the short film.
